Marjorie Adams sent in this page from the Roberts family bible,
which is in her mother's possession in Colorado.
Marjorie Adams sent in this photo:
“Thomas P. Brooks, son of William Bond Brooks and Lavina G. Roberts
Brooks, and his wife, Edna B. Morton. Tommy was the brother of my great
grandmother Lavina Brooks Clark. I once had an email from a Moore
family in DeKalb county, but could not think how they could be related. I
hope they are still around and see the info.”
Ira Lee Farris (left) and the Davis and Farris dry goods business in
Clarksdale. The girl behind the counter is thought to be my grandmother,
Orpha Farris Corken. Boy is possibly son Ray. This is the information my
family has with the photo, but Ira's death certificate lists him as a farmer, so
I am not sure about this dry goods store.

This post card was sent in by Jane Lyle:
old photo postcard I have of a Davis and Farris store. I got in contact with
her after seeing the interior view of hers that you have posted. She and I
have concluded that this is the same store; all the people seem to match up.
Maybe someone in DeKalb County can definitively identify the building as
being in Clarksdale.
